The Operations & Support group is responsible for managing business-critical specialist applications developed either in-house at ISC-FDJP or by external experts. These applications are operated on modern, highly available, and disaster-tolerant cloud platforms, as well as on proven traditional infrastructures. This hybrid approach ensures the stable, scalable, and secure operation of our specialist applications, while meeting stringent requirements for availability, data protection, and operational security – thereby upholding Switzerland’s digital sovereignty.
Service Desk
The FDJP’s IT Service Desk is the main hub for contact between our application users and our in-house specialists.
Applications Operations Division
We operate approximately 120 applications for 35,000 users in various fields. These applications mainly comprise individual solutions which support our clients’ business processes.
Platforms
Technical Operations is responsible for all ISC-FDJP cloud platforms, as well as traditional and dedicated hardware platforms, based on Kubernetes, Linux, and Windows.

ISC-FDJP's specialist applications are used by a large number of users across Switzerland – and in some cases, worldwide. We provide reliable IT support to federal, cantonal and communal agencies in Switzerland as well as to government offices abroad. Many of the specialist applications we provide – especially for customers in the police and security sectors – are operated 24/7 with high availability and uninterrupted service.
Our cloud platforms and system architectures are designed to deliver maximum uptime, robust cybersecurity, and comprehensive protection of sensitive data. This includes reliable data backup, secure data storage and transmission, fine-grained access controls, and the application of cutting-edge cybersecurity practices. Together, these measures ensure that our IT specialist applications will run in a secure, stable and legally compliant manner.

Operational services are governed by binding Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
